GT Haus will be Cambridge's first sustainable Passivhaus low energy apartment development. Our practice believes in a 'fabric first' approach; we recognise the importance of reducing our clients' energy bills and protect people from fuel poverty whilst ensuring improved comfort.

The apartment layouts are adaptable and versatile, comfortable for a couple and yet easy to share with family and friends. The living spaces benefit from large south facing areas of glazing which enable the Passivhaus apartments

to obtain most heating needs from the sun, occupants and appliances. The south facing roof incorporates solar thermal and photovoltaic panels which enable the apartments to generate as much energy from the sun in the summer months as they use for the whole year making the building 'Zero Carbon'.

The development will be a showcase of how we can live comfortably with minimal impact on the natural world, now and into the future.
