st faiths school classroom upgrade retrofit project coloured finishes ground floor plan

The Eco-classroom is the next phase of the upgrade works to the Pre-Prep Department at St Faith's School. It follows the successful retrofit and extension project completed during 2011.

The new extension provides a foundation classroom, breakout space, toilets including a disabled shower/wc, cleaner's cupboard, cloak area for 36 children and shared resources room. Externally there are three new canopies to provide covered play space and a large playground store facility.

The superstructure is a pre-fabricated engineered timber panel system by a specialist sub-contractor New World Timber Frame. We have selected the Tradis system due to its eco-friendly high performance, sustainable construction which is fully filled with Warmcel cellulose insulation.

The project delivers the first green roof on the School campus which not only provides ecological and environmental benefits, but also supports the education of the pupils.
